The Children’s Home Congratulates Dr. Phil Lichtenstein for Comprehensive Healthcare Leadership Award

Cincinnati, OH — The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is proud to announce that Dr. Phil Lichtenstein is a recipient of the 2016 Comprehensive Healthcare Leadership Award from Venue and LEAD Magazines. Dr. Lichtenstein is a pediatrician with an interest in identifying and treating children with complex mental health and behavioral problems and specialized in treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). He became medical director at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati in 2011.

Dr. Lichtenstein developed, in conjunction with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, a training curriculum for primary care physicians to help them treat the most common childhood mental health issue – ADHD. This approach frees psychiatrists to handle the most extreme cases plus ensures that children are seen quickly to address ADHD problems, thereby enabling the children to function better in home, school and the community.

The Comprehensive Healthcare Award honors our region’s leading healthcare professionals who strive to improve, not only the everyday lives of their patients and colleagues, but their community as well. Honorees aim to increase our quality of life while working toward the progression of the healthcare world.

“This high honor recognizes Dr. Lichtenstein’s contribution to improving lives. As the medical director at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati, he epitomizes the spirit for which our organization is known. By giving of his time, leadership and compassion he has made a tremendous impact on the lives of people across the community.” said John Banchy, President and CEO.

Incorporated in 1864, The Children’s Home of Cincinnati transforms the lives of vulnerable children by caring for their mental, physical and social well-being through education programs and treatment services. Last fiscal year, more than 7,100 individuals were positively impacted through these services. For more information, call (513) 272-2800 or visit www.thechildrenshomecinti.org. The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is a United Way Agency Partner.
