The Children’s Home of Cincinnati Names Pamela McKie Chief Operating Officer to Facilitate Growth
Wednesday, December 7, 2016

The Children’s Home of Cincinnati President and CEO John Banchy announced today that seasoned health care veteran, Pamela S. McKie, has joined the organization as Chief Operating Officer beginning February 27, 2017. She will take over for Barbara Terry who is retiring as COO on March 31, 2017. Barb will remain part-time through July working on special projects and being a resource to Ms. McKie in her new role.

“We are excited to have Pam join our leadership team as we continue to scale our programs to serve greater numbers of those with complex healthcare needs, and to continuously improve our services,” said Banchy. “Her expertise and leadership will be invaluable to help our efforts as one of Cincinnati’s leading education and mental health organizations.”

In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Ms. McKie will report to the President and CEO, and will serve as a member of the executive leadership team. She will lead the agency’s business operations and program oversight, and will partner with the President and CEO to provide the proper level of governance to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements.

With more than two decades of experience in health and human services, Ms. McKie was most recently with Assurex Health in Mason, Ohio. There she held two positions, Senior Director of Operations and Senior Director of Corporate Responsibility. Ms. McKie received her undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University and holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Cincinnati.

“On behalf of The Children’s Home, I would like to express our sincerest thanks to Barb for her years of exceptional service to the agency. Her commitment to The Children’s Home, our staff and clients is unequaled, and I know she will be missed,” said Banchy. “Barb Terry has been highly instrumental in bringing the concept of integrated care into the organization and positioning the organization for value-based services moving forward. Her work in the community has broadened the reach of Children’s Home services, strengthening our brand.”
