The Children’s Home of Cincinnati announces New Chief Strategy Officer

The Children’s Home of Cincinnati President and CEO John Banchy announced today Heather Ellison has been promoted to the newly created position of Chief Strategy Officer. Heather Ellison is currently Senior Director of Quality & Innovation for The Children’s Home of Cincinnati. She began her career creating and overseeing the first child care program at the agency. In her role as Chief Strategy Officer, Ms. Ellison will report to the President and CEO, and will serve as a member of the executive leadership team. Ellison has been with the agency for 16 years.

The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is private, nonprofit organization and a leading provider of education and mental health treatment for children facing significant social, behavioral and learning challenges.

In her role as Chief Strategy Officer, Heather will have oversight for the strategic plan priorities. In addition, Heather will have oversight of several functions including: safety, health, quality, centralized intake, and business planning for new services.

“Our leadership in innovation and integrating services is an essential part of the agency’s future,” said Banchy. “Heather will accelerate the pace of change at The Children’s Home of Cincinnati, driving an agenda for compelling work. The ultimate goal of this role is to successfully execute the strategic plan to strengthen children and families. This is the perfect role for Heather and given her track record, one that I know she will excel at.”
