One of the ways we foster employee engagement is by providing an outstanding package of benefits:
Employees have the option of choosing between two medical plans: a preferred provider organization (PPO) and a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). For all regular full-time employees, The Children’s Home makes a greater-than-market contribution to the premium cost, covering 90% of the premium for a single plan and 75% of the premium for a 2+ person plan.
Health Savings Account (HSA): Employees who choose the HDHP are eligible for an employer match to their HSA.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Employees on the PPO plan and employees with dependent care expenses are eligible to set aside money tax-free into an FSA.
Dental & Vision Insurance
The Children’s Home covers 90% of the dental premium for a single plan and 75% of the premium for a 2+ person plan. We also offer a voluntary vision plan through EyeMed.
Group Term Life, AD&D and Disability Insurance
For all regular employees averaging 20+ hours a week, we offer 2.5 times salary (up to $300,000) of company paid life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage. Long-term disability coverage is available if a full-time employee becomes totally disabled. Full-time employees become eligible for LTD income after 90 days of disability. Income replacement is 60% of salary while disabled. The company pays the entire premium cost.
Employees have the option of purchasing additional term life insurance for themselves, spouse and dependents. Employees may also purchase critical illness and accident insurance through a group policy, at their expense.
The Children’s Home provides an opportunity to participate in a tax-sheltered annuity (403b) plan. We match the employee contribution at 50% per dollar of the employee contribution up to 4% of your annual salary — a 4% employee contribution gets a 2% employer match.
The Children’s Home offers a generous time-off program that includes two personal days per year, sick time accrual and vacation time accrual for 12-month staff. Vacation time accrual starts at two weeks per year for 12-month staff and progresses to four weeks based on length of service. School-year staff members are not scheduled to work during school breaks or during the summer, and also earn personal time and sick time.
