Budget Bootcamp - Real opportunities for life after high school
Monday, July 9, 2018

Budget Bootcamp: Real opportunities for life after high school will take place on Thursday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4550 Red Bank Expressway.  We are in need of volunteers to help with the event.

news, events

Students will have the opportunity participate in a “game-of-life-style” adventure to help them learn and make realistic life decisions with their finances and gain an understanding what it is like to live on their own and navigate the in’s and out’s of life.  They will select a plan for housing, utilities, phone, food, transportation, savings and extras. They need to be sure not to spend too much money!

They will earn to sign a lease, pay bills, set up utilities, make a doctors appointment, open a savings/checking account,  - all within their means. Students will also discover whether to attend college (with some college reps on hand to answer questions) or pursue the job market.

Thank you to our participating businesses including:5/3  Bank, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, US Bank, P&G, North American Properties, Chatfield College, Cincinnati State, Sprint, and Cincinnati Health Department, Wallick Communities, Cincinnati Recreation CommissionIf you would like more information please contact Chrissey Haslam at cbarretthaslam@thechildrenshomecinti.org or 513-272-2800
