Cincinnati, OH — The Children’s Home of Cincinnati has recently named Roderick Hinton as the new Vice President of Advancement and Community Engagement. Roderick will oversee all marketing, communications, business development, community relations and fundraising functions of the organization.

“Spend any amount of time with Rod and you will find that he is an extremely motivated and organized leader” said, John Banchy, President and CEO. “He is adept at building teams and cultivating long lasting relationships. We are extremely proud to bring him on board.”

A Cincinnati Business Courier 2016 Forty Under 40 Honoree, Hinton is best known for his keen business skills and vast experience in planning and strategy. Hinton currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Powell Crosley YMCA and formerly served on the Presidential Advisory Council for the Cincinnati Museum Center.

Roderick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development, both from Xavier University. He had served in multiple leadership positions at St. Xavier High School over the past 17 years, most recently as Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management and Strategic Initiatives. Under Rod’s leadership, St. Xavier experienced a 7% growth in overall enrollment and a 13% increase in the matriculation of multicultural students.

Incorporated in 1864, The Children’s Home of Cincinnati transforms the lives of vulnerable children by caring for their mental, physical and social well-being through education programs and treatment services. Last fiscal year, more than 6,500 individuals were positively impacted through these services.
