The Children’s Home of Cincinnati announces New Vice President of Human Resources

The Children’s Home of Cincinnati President and CEO John Banchy announced Melanie L. Burden has joined the organization as Vice President for Human Resources beginning February 27, 2017.
“The Children’s Home of Cincinnati’s greatest strategic resource is our people,” said Banchy. “Melanie brings with her a remarkable record of leadership and innovation in talent acquisition, development and retention. I’m confident she will help further strengthen The Children’s Home as we work to deliver comprehensive services to the children and families we serve.”
The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is private, nonprofit organization and a leading provider of education and mental health treatment for children facing significant social, behavioral and learning challenges.
In her role as VP of Human Resources, Melanie will report to the President and CEO, and will serve as a member of the executive leadership team. She will lead The Children’s Home human resources functions ensuring that HR practices support overall agency and department specific objectives.
Over the course of a distinguished career, Melanie has been involved in the architecture of strategic culture, management and volunteer engagement. She holds a BA in Economics and an MA in Labor & Management Relations from the University of Cincinnati, and a MS in Executive Leadership & Organizational Change from Northern Kentucky University.
