Early Childhood Mental Health and Day Treatment

This program addresses the developmental needs of children ages 2-7, with a focus on attachment and other factors that may impact a young child’s ability to form healthy relationships. Services are provided through counseling, case management and a half-day treatment program. The focus of the Early Childhood Mental Health area includes:

  • Identifying children that are at high risk for developmental and relational problems
  • Educating parents  about the needs of young children
  • Supporting language development and communication within relationships
  • Helping the child and parent manage the child's responses to trauma, pain and/or anxiety
  • Improving the quality of parent-child relationships
