The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is proud to be named a “Top Nonprofit to Work For in 2016” as ranked by The Nonprofit Times! Answers from a staff survey combined with the organization’s description, work environment and significant staff and benefit programs ranked The Children’s Home as the 4th best large non-profit to work for in the country! The Children’s Home is the only local large nonprofit recognized for this honor.
The Children’s Home of Cincinnati is also excited to be one of Cincinnati’s TopWorkplaces for 2016! We were ranked #17 overall Midsized Workplace by the Cincinnati Enquirer. Results were based off of a survey gauging employee’s thoughts and feelings. Read what one of our very own employees, Beth Wiseman, had to say in the survey:
“The Children’s Home is truly one of the best places to work because the agency values the staff that support the mission through our benefits, management support and continuous learning opportunities. We are a collaborative team that prioritizes our families and clients with compassionate services. Just to walk into a building provides a warm and welcoming feeling.”
The Children’s Home is proud to have more than 150 years of service to the children and families of our community. Today we have over 300 employees working in over 20 different client programs to help more than 7,100 children overcome social, behavioral and learning challenges every year. Our committed, compassionate, collaborative employees bring innovation and excellence with them to the workplace each and every day.

All of our services for children are divided into three different categories with a continuum of services for children of all ages, birth to 18. The categories are Early Childhood and School age services, Behavioral Health Treatment services and Educational services.
Though our operations staff do not typically work with the children directly, the work they do absolutely affects the services we provide to the children. Operations and management staff may only see the kids when attending a talent show, science fair or basketball tournament between programs but their presence and support is important to all the children we serve.
Although we take our work very seriously, we build in time for camaraderie and engagement as well. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and wellness program to help our staff meet their health goals. We typically host several social events every year for staff and their families. We also sponsor an annual all-staff summit designed to celebrate agency and individual accomplishments and impact on the community. At the retreat, we recognize three individuals, nominated by their peers, with the Presidential Award, and each recipient receives an award worth $500. Awardees exemplify and LIVE our values of compassion, commitment, collaboration, innovation and excellence.
