The Children’s Home of Cincinnati cut the ceremonial ribbon for its expansion of Autism and Preschool Services at 4550 Red Bank Road.

“Two years ago I made a promise to parents, and one year ago our board agreed to invest in the needs of the community,” said President and CEO John Banchy in his opening remarks. “The expansion of our Autism program allows us to serve more children, support more families and meet more community need.”

The Autism program now has 9 new state-of-the-art classrooms with the capacity to double its enrollment in the new building. In addition to this expansion, the organization will add new classrooms for its preschool program.

‘In this space we recognize the value of every kind in the community deserves a place like this to learn, to thrive and gain the skills they need,” added Commissioner Denise Driehaus. “In Hamilton County this is what we do and this is how we do it.”

In addition to Driehaus, other dignitaries who came to support the expansion of The Children’s Home included Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley, State Senator Cecil Thomas, State Representative Brigid Kelly, Councilman Wendal Young, State Representatives Catherine Ingram and Jonathon Dever.

A proclamation was presented by Josh Mandel, Ohio Treasurer, along with a Letter of Commendation on the opening of the Red Bank facility from Representative Brigid Kelly on behalf of the Ohio House of Representatives.
