President and CEO

As the President and CEO of The Children's Home of Cincinnati, Ellen Katz Johnson is responsible for the planning and administration of programs and services for the 140 year-old private, nonprofit agency that serves over 3,500 children and families each year. Having served more than 15 years in various leadership roles within the agency, her leadership brings a unique depth of experience and clear vision to her role. Ms. Katz Johnson continues a tradition of prudent stewardship and mission accountability, and with her guidance, The Children's Home will realize her vision of becoming a national benchmark for serving children of all ages with social and emotional challenges.

Ms. Katz Johnson earned an M. A. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University in Business Administration, finishing first in both classes. The Cincinnati Business Courier recognized her many achievements by naming her to it's "Forty Under 40" List. She has also been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a Registered Research Assistant for the American Psychological Association. She is an active volunteer, community leader, and a passionate advocate of children.
